Q: Can an Oklahoma ADA force a defendant to sign a guilty plea with a threat of filing a higher charge?
the ADA has threatened my daughter on several occasions through her court proceedings. He threatened to file the higher charge if we force the case to trial. The forced her by threatening to file a higher charge if she plead no contest. I trying to see if it is official oppression, coercion. Or if this is a normal practice for ADA. She was charged with criminal negligent homicide for a car crash.
