A: A Georgia attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a week. As a general matter, you should not be held liable, unless you did something out of the ordinary to break the floor. From the sound of it, it appears to be a structural failure that would under most any circumstances be the responsibility of the property owner. Take photos and gather any debris and save it. Provide prompt notice to the owner, whether a landlord or hotel. You posted under Products Liability, which deals with injuries from defective products. If this is a rental property, a landlord-tenant attorney could offer more meaningful and in-depth insight in that vein. Good luck
