Anaheim, CA asked in Consumer Law for California

Q: This guy tried to sell me a Jersey online, I can't pay and he said he is gonna contact the police. Can he do that?

I originally said it's a maybe, then he asked for size and shipping, so he has that info. I thought I would be good cause I was gonna start working so I would be able to buy it (I even told him that). Its been about 3 weeks and he said that he was going to call the police. can he do that?

A: Sounds like it was not yet shipped?

BUT, maybe he ordered one and paid for it and that cost him money out of pocket

and it's your fault?

So, YES, he CAN call the Police, BUT, they will do nothing.

So, YES, he CAN sue you and if he wins, you get a "judgment"

against you on your record, over a jersey? You have no money,

no job and your need this jersey? THINK about it...

OK, I'm done for now.
