A guilty plea to a Class C misdemeanor domestic violence may not, in and of itself, help you prove any significant monetary damages. There are two types of class C assaults, (1) Assault By Threat, and (2) Assault by Offensive or Provocative Physical Contact. The contact is such that it does not cause injury or even pain. Also, if the offender entered a plea of No Contest instead of Guilty then you can't use the plea against them in civil court.
