A: didn't they give you a copy of the warrant or show to you?

it would/should spell out the reason

A: What is your question? If you are asking if that was legal or illegal, it depend on whether you were on probation or parole for a conviction and you agreed to, among other terms and conditions, to provide a DNA sample. I suggest you consult with the attorney who represented you on that subject.

If you do not have a conviction and were not on probation/parole, you may have a viable case for violation of your civil rights.

A: They are not required to give you the warrant or show it to you. They get DNA for sex and violence cases in general. Take to a local attorney asap to discuss this issue in private.

Good luck!
