Q: How to get compensated for parked car accident?
Someone hit my roomate's parked vehicle a week ago. The police haven't released the insurance info of the woman who hit her car. They said it will be avail next week. My roomate is not making money for 2nd job because of this incident. She is an Instacart shopper. She plans to rent a very small car for few weeks for her to be able to atleast drive to her morning job. What procedure or step can she take to ensure the insurance company compensate her loss of income on Instacart and reimburse her for the rental car?
A:
SINCE IT WAS A PARKED VEHICLE WITHOUT ANY PERSONAL INJURY, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET A LAWYER ON A CONTINGENCY.
IF YOU HIRE A LAWYER IT WILL BE ON AN HOURLY.
WHEN YOU ASCERTAIN INS CO, SEND LETTER MEMORIALIZING WHAT HAPPENED AND THAT BECAUSE OF THIS INCIDENT THE OWNER SUFFERED THE FOLLOWING DAMAGES.........
IF THE INS CO DOESN'T SETTLE, YOU CAN GO TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT WHERE YOU CAN SUE FOR UP TO $10K WITHOUT A LAWYER.
