Q: Can a case be thrown out if taken to trial if the officer that gave the ticket is fired

A: There are no felony tickets in Texas. A fired officer doesn't AUTOMATICALLY result in dismissed charges. The prosecutor will decide whether the officer's testimony is needed, whether the reason for the firing implicates the officer's credibility, and the quality of any other admissible evidence. For example, if they have a video recording of the defendant confessing to the crime then they might not even need the officer.
