A: Being employed at-will means that you or your employer can terminate the employment relationship for no reason or for any reason, albeit a legal one. However, in order to obtain an employment contract, that is likely something you would have to request from the employer, given that both sides would have to agree on the terms of the contract. There is likely no legal mechanism to change your employment arrangement to an employment contract ("for cause"). It seems like your only choice is to request this change from your employer, but you may want to consult with an employment attorney prior to taking any action.
