A: There is not a reliable way to find out. About the best you can do is to hire a criminal defense attorney who agrees to reach out to law enforcement and inquire about the status on any investigation. Sometimes a detective is willing to play ball if she understands that you want to take care of business (which means self-surrender on any warrant rather than running.)

A: Even generally, the investigating office does not share any confidential information on its target, thus, it is not possible to receive any answer to that.

But once you feel you are being investigated for any reason, immediately discuss your exposure to potential criminal charges at once proactively.
