Tampa, FL asked in Consumer Law, Criminal Law and Real Estate Law for Florida

Q: My 58 year old brother has lived with my mother rent free most of his adult life. He continued to live in the house my

mother and I rented in florida. Before I was able to move in, my mother passed away and when I did move in with my two teenage children, he refused to pay utility bills he had accrued. I asked him to move out. He finally did and left a bunch of stuff here because he had no way to transport it and nowhere to transport it to. He now, 5 months later, wants to come here and lay claim to these things and things that belonged to my mother, after not paying any rent whatsoever and stiffing me on his utilities. What exactly is he legally entitled to, if anything? Thank you.
