Corona, CA asked in Consumer Law and Small Claims for California

Q: Good afternoon. My name is Clara and I live in Bullhead City Arizona.

Recently I had the need for a new high pressure power steering hose in my vehicle. So I purchased one and hired a mobile mechanic to come to my house and install it. Prior to his arrival, I researched this specific job and found that it would call for 1 to 2 hours of labor at a cost of no more than $250. However, the mechanic and another man were at my house for almost 7 hours. I am not exactly sure what they were doing but when it was all said and done charged me $650. Please let me know what remedy, if any, might provide for partial reimbursement of this exorbitant fee.. Thank you so very much for your time and guidance.
