Los Angeles, CA asked in Car Accidents for California

Q: I was on the clock with having a community Flea Market event on site. I rented a Uhaul and brought items to sell.

The event was held at CMI Assisted Living outdoors. At the end of the day a man sped up in his car, ran up our curb, and two feet fence then petal to metal full speed went diagonal across our grass and ran thru everything, furniture went flying everything broken and hit my Uhaul so hard it moved 17 feet. Totaled his car got police report and he has no insurance. Who’s responsible for all the damage? I’m being said $3000 by Uhaul and my work didn’t want me to file innocent report. My insurance won’t pay for it because Uhaul gave away my small truck and gave me next size and it was over the weight limit. Everything of mine And another vendors gotdamaged and I have 60 photos to show proof. Our senior citizens just got inside 5-10 mi utes before this joker speed full speed straight thru and into the Uhaul. It was on purpose; if I would have had the emergency break on the guy would have been dead. Please advise. Ty

A: MORE INFO IS NEEDED. WHO DO YOU THINK WAS NEGLIGENT? IN ANY EVENT, INSURANCE COVERS NEGLIGENT ACTS ....NOT INTENTIONAL.

PLEASE CONTACT A LOCAL PI/WC LAWYER ASAP.

YOU MAY BE IN A POSITION THAT YOU WERE UNDERINSURED OR UNINSURED AND THERE IS NO ONE FROM WHOM TO COLLECT.

IF THERE IS INSURANCE AND YOUR EMPLOYER DOESN'T WANT YOU TO FILE, THEN YOU AND YOUR LAWYER HAVE TO MAKE A DECISION.
