Q: Good morning! "Title 21, Subtitle 7 Transportation Article Maryland State Law, Transportation Article 21-706

A park school bus turned on its stop sign while I was in the middle of the bus and the camera caught me driving past. I did not have enough notification to know to stop

A: You have not posted a question. However, if the camera was able to record the front of your vehicle and its license plate, that evidence might refute your contention that you had already passed the front of the bus before its signs/signals were activated. Payment of the fine is tantamount to guilty plea and the assessment of 3 pts on your driving record, so you may want to request a trial to assess that evidence, offer some statement in mitigation of sentence, or plead not guilty if insufficient evidence of the offense is presented to the court.

A: I agree with Mr. Eidelberg except that if this is a camera ticket, it carries only a $250.00 fine and no points. There are no points for camera tickets.
