Q: DTPA, MECHANIC’S LIEN, PERSONAL INJURY, ..? --INTENT TO COMMIT FRAUD, TAMPERING W/GOVT RECORDS, EXPLOITATION
Dropped vehicle w/repair facility 18 mos ago. Signed Invoice #1. Received 4 unauthorized invoices since. 5th invoice sent to the Tax Assessor-Collector w/INTENT TO LIEN petition. It contains my signature, forged. Advised to file suit in JP Court and did so. The Tax Assessor-Collector’s office informed me that a higher court was required for them to halt the lien process.
How to proceed?
I’m medically disabled (SSDI) and have been walking to doctors appts & for all errands since. On my way home one evening after an appointment I was mugged. For the past year I’ve been undergoing Pain Management treatment and Physical Therapy for the neck injuries sustained. I need surgery though (artificial disc replacement) and Medicare does not cover them, only vertebral fusion. Not interested in losing bodily function due to his fraudulent actions & illegal seizure.
Continue to pay full coverage insurance on my vehicle & have numerous added expenses due to his theft.
Where to from here?
A: I had a case that I recently worked on that involved a similar situation. I think you should hire an attorney to represent you. Work with the attorney you choose to develop a legal strategy and execute the strategy effectively.
