A: In order to maximize your recovery, you really should hire an attorney. If you want to go at it on your own, then you should provide proper documentation of your wages before and after the accident and calculate the total amount you have lost due to the accident. Provide this information to the at fault drivers insurance company, and let them know you want to be compensated for your lost wages as well. I can say that often, if an attorney is not involved, the car insurance companies sometimes exploit that to their benefit to provide the least amount possible. Everyone knows that car insurance companies are in the business of collecting premiums, not paying out on claims. They will try anything they can to not pay. You should consult with an attorney.

A: the answer is........IT DEPENDS.........

A LAWYER NEED ALL THE FACTS.

YOU WOULD DO BETTER WITH A LAWYER THAN ON YOUR OWN.

HOWEVER, YOU SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR ALL THE MONEY YOU LOST.....THAT YOU CAN PROVE!

A: 1. Get an off work note from your doctor for the entire period of the wage loss.

2. Submit proof of your wage history in the form of W-2 forms and/or pay stubs.

3. Do the calculations of the number of days you lost work x the daily wage for your work.

OR

Get an attorney, whose work and settlement demands will be far more respected than your own. The insurer will not take you, as an unrepresented person, seriously.
