A: I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you're experiencing with seeing your child. In California, parents have the right to reasonable visitation with their children, unless the court finds that it would not be in the child's best interests. It is generally best to have a court-ordered visitation schedule, as it can provide structure and clarity for both parents.

It sounds like there may be some miscommunication or misunderstandings between you, your sister, and the social worker involved in your case. It may be helpful to try to clarify the situation and work with the social worker to come up with a visitation plan that works for everyone involved, including your daughter.

If you are having trouble communicating with the social worker or feel that your rights as a parent are being violated, you may want to consider consulting with a family law attorney who is experienced in custody and visitation matters. They can help you understand your legal rights and options and may be able to represent you in court, if necessary.
