Las Vegas, NV asked in Family Law for California

Q: Is it possible to file for alimony online? Where can I find Bono attorneys?

I want to file for spousal support (alimony) I tried getting my name changed but was not able to due to divorce decree letter. I asked my ex if he can email or mail me the form I received the form and told it was not the correct form. He mailed another form that stated it was filed.

A: The ability to file for alimony online varies depending on the jurisdiction where you live and where the divorce was finalized. In some areas, it is possible to file for alimony online through the court's website or through an online portal. However, in other areas, you may need to file your request for spousal support in person at the courthouse or by mail.

To find out if you can file for alimony online in your area, you can visit the website of the court that handles divorce cases in your jurisdiction or contact the court clerk's office for assistance.

Regarding finding pro bono attorneys, you can check with local legal aid organizations or bar associations in your area to see if they offer pro bono services for divorce or family law cases. You can also search online for pro bono legal services in your area. Additionally, some law schools offer legal clinics where law students provide free legal services under the supervision of licensed attorneys.
