A: I'm sorry to hear about the difficult situation you're facing with your grandchild.

Regarding your question about filing a petition along with Form 300FL and whether you should file a joiner, it's important to understand the context in which these forms are typically used. Form 300FL is a California Judicial Council form used for requesting visitation orders in cases involving grandparents and certain other relatives. A petition is a formal written request submitted to the court.

In your situation, if the father is denying you visitation with your grandchild, you may need to file a petition to seek visitation rights. The petition should outline your reasons for requesting visitation and any relevant information to support your case. It's advisable to consult with an attorney experienced in family law to help you prepare and file the petition correctly.

Regarding a joiner, this term typically refers to someone joining an existing legal case as an additional party. Whether a joiner is necessary or appropriate in your situation depends on the specific details of the case and the legal procedures in your jurisdiction. An attorney can assess your circumstances and advise you on whether a joiner is advisable in your specific situation.

I hope this information provides some clarity, and I encourage you to seek legal advice to navigate the process effectively.
