A: In the old days before court records were stored electronically on computer servers, court judgments were recorded in paper format in big books in the court clerk's office. "Vol./Book 211" indicates the volume number of the book in which the judgment is recorded. As you may have guessed, "page 227-229" indicates the page numbers within that book where the judgment is recorded. You can find the actual books in the clerk's office. Many clerks in Texas also make these records available online in electronic format. Some clerks do not charge a fee; whereas others do. It depends upon the particular county and, sometimes, the particular clerk (e.g. District Clerk v. County Clerk v. JP Clerk).

A: If the court staff digitized the records, they could be online. If not, you could go to the physical court and ask the clerk for assistance in retrieving the records. Good luck
