Boston, MA asked in Products Liability for Massachusetts

Q: OK so I purchased a diamond ring about 6 weeks ago In the diamond district in boston through A well known jeweler. The r

The reason for purchasing the diamond was because I had lost the center Stone to my previous wedding ring and made the mistake of not ensuring the ring. So my husband surprised me and spent about $10000. After sir, getting home call, I immediately message the jeweler and asked about insurance. And he told me he did not offer it. Nor did he have any recommendations. My husband paid cash for the ring. So I requested a receipt and a praisal of the diamond to be emailed to me so that I could seek insurance elsewhere. Well yesterday my worst nightmare came true. I looked down and the entire top portion of the ring snapped off and and I have no idea when or where it happened.. I I was unable to ensure the ring because because they never provided me with the receipt and apraisal. I have reached out to the jeweler and requested that he call me and he has yet to call. I just need legal advice here.

A: A Massachusetts attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. Your question may have gone unnoticed under the Product Liability heading, which is more about injuries from defective products. Some questions go unanswered, but you could try reposting under Business Law, Civil Litigation, Consumer Law - those categories might offer better chances of a response. Good luck
