Facing delays in passport issuance due to police verification issues can be frustrating, especially when it impacts your education and travel plans. If your police verification is being held up due to a relative's past, and you've already reached out to various officials without success, it's essential to persist in your efforts. Continue to follow up with the CID headquarters in Jammu, as sometimes, constant communication can expedite the process. Ensure you have all your documentation in order, including any proofs that clarify your situation and differentiate you from your uncle's past activities.
In addition to ongoing follow-ups, consider seeking assistance from higher authorities. Writing to the Ministry of External Affairs or utilizing public grievance portals may help escalate your case. These channels are designed to address citizens' concerns and can sometimes prompt a more immediate response from the relevant departments. Make sure to clearly state your case, the steps you've already taken, and the urgency due to your educational commitments.
Lastly, if you're facing a tight deadline for your studies abroad, explaining your situation to the educational institution in Italy might be helpful. They may offer flexibility with your application or provide advice based on experience with similar cases. Sometimes, institutions can accept a provisional admission until you sort out your passport issues. Remember, persistence is key, and exploring all available channels can help resolve the issue more quickly.
