Q: A man quit claims his property to his brother, that man dies. Does the man who quit claimed it, get it back?

The brother dies, does the original owner get it back? No one has been able to answer my question

A: No, the interest does not revert to the grantor. The house passes to the estate of the deceased grantee. Once you quit claim your house away, your interest terminates.

A: A deed is essentially a contract that conveys real estate. Once the deed is signed over to another party (the grantee) the grantor (the person deeding the property) has no further interest in the property. There are exceptions to conveying real estate by deed, and when it comes to probate or estates, a real estate attorney should review the deed to see that it was executed properly, that it contains all of the items within the document that will make it legal. So definitely get with a real estate attorney to review the deed.
