A: A Pennsylvania attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. You could ask your attorney for details - for example, whether there were very large liens or other factors. Your retainer agreement should contain information about awards, fees, costs, etc. Good luck

A: This suggestion is confusing and requires some explanation to determine your rights. First of all, you raise the issue of arbitration. That is not a judgment. An arbitration Award must be "confirmed" as a Judgment. This must be done since only Judgments allow for strong-state endorsed methods to compel a debtor to pay.

You are entitled to an accounting. Unless the attorney advanced huge costs, and you signed a retainer giving him the right to collect his costs first, you cannot be treated this way. Your attorney must account for all money collected. Every penny. Plus, interest runs on the Judgment (if the attorney entered judgment). You must demand an accounting.
