A: If you haven't received a welcome letter from the National Visa Center (NVC) after eight months, there are several steps you could take. First, ensure your contact information is up-to-date and correct. Mistakes in your address or email could lead to missed communications. Then, you could reach out directly to the NVC through their contact information, typically provided on their official website. Be prepared with your case number, petitioner's full name, and beneficiary's full name and date of birth when you contact them.

You might also consider checking your case status online if you haven't done so. The U.S. Department of State offers a Visa Status Check on its website where you can input your case number. This tool can provide you with real-time updates about your case.

Lastly, if these steps do not resolve your issue, you may want to seek advice from a legal expert in immigration law. An experienced attorney can provide guidance specific to your situation and help facilitate communication with the NVC. They can also review your case to ensure all necessary documentation was correctly submitted and advise on any further actions that may be required.
