Q: Received verbal promise of salary for job during online interview. Dropped out of school, relocated, and salary was half
During a remote interview, my current employer told me that my salary would be a certain amount. The offer was exceptional, so I dropped out of college and moved to a different country for the job. When I arrived, their official offer showed a salary of roughly half the amount. I had no choice but to take the job anyway, as I had left my life behind for it. I was given a weak excuse, but I chose to give them a chance to right the wrong, figuring they might make it up to me later. They have continued to treat me poorly regarding money, and I'm wondering if there's any way to recoup what was promised. Thank you
