Siler City, NC asked in Criminal Law and Child Support for North Carolina

Q: Is this a scam or legit?

I got a text from a detective name Lawrence, saying my account was suspicious of communicating with minors. They asked me about my name, age and location. I gave them my age, name and location. The detective then told me the name of the minor was I talking to but they also said others, which confused me. They told me her name and it was correct. I’ve been friends with her for months and we been really good friends, she told me about family issues and her problems. They told me the age she said to me which was 11 and it was wrong, she is 12 and I got proof of it. I don’t know detective is supposed to contact me like this or not but I just wanna know if this is a scam or legit. I don’t have any sexual intentions towards or anything like that. Please answer me asap. I posted this on Reddit as well and people told me it’s a scam, block the “detective number” and her number as well. I did that but the detective phone number didn’t match up with the name they gave me and it was a 808 number
