Enumclaw, WA asked in Employment Law for Washington

Q: ADA Violation during Medical Leave, 3rd Party Admin told me none is available to me for claim, despite disability.

On medical leave, TPA for STDI ignored requests for accommodation due to my disability, my Dr, wrote a letter stating I was receiving treatment for a qualified disability under the ADA. The excessive documentation was interfering with my ability to receive treatment, and the administrative burden takes away from the time I need for treatment and I am unable to do both in a single appointment. Dr. said they would only provide the questionnaire once a month, or if a change in my treatment or progress/recovery occurs whichever is sooner, and office visits notes as often as requests. They continued to ask for weekly forms. I asked for accomodation to provide a form which removes the redundant information which is included in the office visit notes, to ensure I could complete the form and receive treatment in a single visit. request denied, I was told no accomodation are required for navigating a claim, accommodations are only for returning to work. Is this true? Employer in TX, Employee WA
