Q: Do I have to make my 16 year old live with her father if she doesn't want to? What can he legally do to me if I don't?
There is no custody agreement or court involved. He only wants my daughter to live with him because he believes she is hanging out with the wrong crowd. While that is a good reason, my daughter is not hanging with the wrong crowd. She does not want to live with him. She's almost 17. I'm scared to tell him 'no she is not going to live with you'. He has a really bad temper. He will also most likely report me to child services for my daughter not being in school. She has not been in school because we have been living hotel to hotel. What will child services to do me? What can my daughter's father legally do to me? I am so unsure of what to do in this situation. Please help!
