A: I'm sorry to hear about your difficult situation. Based on the information you provided, here are a few things to consider under California law:

1. Child support: Even if your children are living with their father, you may be entitled to child support payments from him, especially for the two youngest children living with you. You can seek the assistance of the California Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) to establish and enforce a child support order.

2. Custody and visitation: If there is no existing court order for custody and visitation, you may want to consider filing for one. This can help establish clear guidelines for parenting time and decision-making responsibilities for your children.

3. Domestic violence: If you left the home due to your partner's abusive behavior, you may be able to seek a domestic violence restraining order to protect yourself and your children. This can also include orders for child custody, visitation, and support.

4. Legal assistance: Given the complexity of your situation, it's highly recommended that you seek legal advice from a qualified family law attorney. Many local legal aid organizations provide free or low-cost legal services to low-income individuals. You can also contact the California State Bar for referrals to attorneys in your area.

Remember, the well-being and best interests of your children should be the top priority. It's essential to take steps to ensure their safety, stability, and support. Don't hesitate to reach out to local resources and organizations that can provide you with the guidance and assistance you need during this challenging time.
