Tampa, FL asked in Civil Litigation, Civil Rights and Small Claims for Florida

Q: We purchased 3 appliances from Lowe’s. They were delivered but by the next day, 2 were not working. We called but no

one answered the phone. It took us several days to finally speak to a real person. They sent people out who were supposed to verify that the new refrigerator and washing machine were installed properly. The men were very rude. They took the washing machine and loaded it on the truck, but then got a call, saying to unload it and put it back. Someone on their phone said we did not have a warranty. We showed them receipt that showed that we had purchased the extended warranty. I told him I did not want it back at my house. I locked our utility room door and came to the kitchen door to lock it. One of the delivery drivers stood in front of the door and would not allow me to lock my own door. I asked him to leave my house for seven or eight minutes. He jerked back into me and shoved into me with his back and I nearly fell. we called the local sheriffs office, but they said ‘no crime’. I am attempting to talk to Lowes, but I’m not getting very far. Should I hire a lawyer & what can they do?
