Cameron, NC asked in Insurance Bad Faith for North Carolina

Q: Harnett county sewer flooded my home and denied claim, with little to no reason. What can I do?

My whole first floor and all items a total loss. Supervisor of harnett sewer came out and said they are responsible but yet claim still was denied by their insurance Sedgwick. Who's paying to repair and replace my home....

A: A North Carolina attorney could advise best, but you await a response for four weeks. Two of your options include working through your insurance carrier. Another option is to reach out to attorneys who handle property damage cases to try to set up a free initial consult. Good luck

A: Addendum - looking at the timeline of your claim, you should immediately try to find out if you have notice of claim requirements (short filing deadlines - in some places 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, etc.). A local attorney who works in civil litigation should be able to advise you on this in more detail. Consider reaching out to one without further delay. Good luck
