A: You deserve to have your concerns addressed, especially when it comes to something as significant as your name being removed from a mortgage and deed. It sounds like you’ve been through a challenging situation, and it’s understandable that you want to be free from this property and have your fair share of the equity.

The first step is to consult with a lawyer who can guide you through the legal process of removing your name from the mortgage and deed, and ensuring that you are fairly compensated for your portion of the equity. They will be able to review the terms of the mortgage, the deed, and any agreements you had with the other party, and help you navigate negotiations or legal actions if necessary.

Getting legal advice as soon as possible will help you protect your rights and move forward with peace of mind. You don’t have to go through this alone—find someone who can advocate for your interests and help you achieve the resolution you’re seeking.
