I am Not paying for 2 new front tires and the control arm replacement is 1100 dollars
A:
It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating situation. First, it’s important to address the control arm bushings, as driving with worn-out bushings can lead to more damage. Get a second opinion from another repair shop to confirm the issue and get an accurate estimate for the control arm repair. Sometimes, another shop may offer a better price.
For the tires, since they wore out so quickly, it’s possible the alignment was off when you got the new tires, which can lead to uneven wear. Ask the shop where you purchased the tires if they have a warranty or pro-rated replacement policy. Many places offer coverage if the tires wear out prematurely.
Lastly, document everything—dates, receipts, and the issues you’ve faced. If you feel any of the previous shops missed something crucial, you could try talking to them to see if they’ll help cover part of the repair costs.
