Q: My aunt never removed her name from house deed after my father bought it. He passed and now she is trying to take it.

My father passed in 2022, no will as I am the only living child. My aunt owned the house in the ,80s and my dad bought it in the early 90s. She and her ex husbands names were still on the deed. They paid some of the past taxes and now are claiming it is their house.

The decision to drop charges rests with the prosecutor's discretion, and it typically involves a variety of factors beyond the results of a lie detector test. The prosecutor will consider all available evidence, witness statements, police reports, and other relevant factors before making a decision.

An Oregon lawyer could advise best, but your post remains open for two weeks. You would need a lawyer who handles wills, trusts, and estates. There are sections here on this site for that - one is Probate and the other is Estate Planning. If you had specific questions, you could repost them, adding... View More

Q: Is it legal for my adult sons Apartment manager to require him to provide his Checking account number?

I'm his Payee and I keep his funds. It seems to me the letter he gets from social security every month verifying his benefits would be enough.

Q: Ex forged my signature on a vehicle that was in my name & transfered ownership. What do I do?

This happened April 2014. He said he would kill me if I reported it.

It was an abusive relationship. I only have some recordings to prove that, but he does admit to forging my signature and hitting. I had to move to another state for safety, is there anything I could do now?
