Q: Guy on scooter apparently grazed my car, didn’t stop kept going, appntly not injured; anything else I must do?
Guy on a lime scooter wasn’t watching, & grazed my front bumper going left to right as I came to the parking lot exit. He kept on going which to me indicates he wasn’t injured. There’s only a small scrape on my bumper I’m not even sure was from his scooter. I’m not interested in pursuing it at all. I guess I could have been paying a little better attention but that exit is blind, due to a bush right next to it. What my question is, is there anything else I need to do to cover my a**, considering he didn’t come back and say anything?
A: A Washington attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for three weeks. If any video surveillance footage is available for the parking lot exit, you could request copies. You could photograph the superficial damage on your own vehicle. You could discuss in further detail with a local attorney what additional measures could be necessary or helpful, based on the conditions of your insurance policy or other factors. Good luck
