A: Facing a juvenile dependency case can be overwhelming, especially when you believe the allegations are false and have caused harm to your child and yourself. It’s important to gather all your documentation, such as records from doctors, law enforcement, and other credible witnesses who can attest to your involvement and the care you provide for your daughter. This evidence will be crucial in demonstrating your stability as a parent and refuting any unfounded claims made by child protective services.

Consider consulting with an attorney experienced in juvenile dependency cases to understand the specific steps needed to protect your rights and your child’s well-being. They can guide you through the legal process, help you present your evidence effectively, and advocate for your side of the story. You have a right to challenge any false accusations and present your case in court.

If you believe there has been wrongdoing or harm caused by child protective services, discussing potential legal actions, such as filing a lawsuit for false allegations and trauma, with your attorney may be an option. They can help assess the viability of such a claim and guide you through what to expect. Stay strong and keep advocating for your daughter, knowing that there are legal avenues to address these challenges.
