Q: What can I do to get my adult autistic son from a state group home in Salem,IL. Where he was sent after false allegation
He has been bounced around from group home to group home for a number of reasons the past couple of years. One home has stolen his disability payments and no charges were filed, they just moved him.this all began when an ex friend of ours made false allegation to adult protective service stating I was stealing his money,I abused him,he was living in a home without utilities on,and all of which are 100% untrue and unfounded.Where he is at fault was the fact he agreed with some of the statements under the assumption that he could come home when he chose to ,he could see family when chose to and that it was a program he was going to ,and that was what I was told by the accuser herself when confronted with what I was told. The people from the group home even offered him a bike and anything else he wanted if he just left with them. This was witnessed by 2 of my sisters.I had no time to procure funds for lawyer. There is even more to the story that is in favor of me and him.He just wants home...
A: Who has guardianship? If the state has guardianship you could file a complaint with them. Do you have guardianship?
