Clifton, NJ asked in Family Law, Child Custody and Civil Rights for Florida

Q: How can I protect myself if my opposing party IS city hall?…and friends…?…and family members…?

myself and safely get my children returned to my custody after 3 years of a battle against the court employees and authorities, who ARE running this town, my childrens cases, no due process exists and judges simply don't respond to emergencies modification custody? Not even a personal letter hand delivered, basically pleading for any justice. Asking the lovely honorable court to “please fair hearing… evidence..proof…etc.” or maybe a peek into my suitcases full of evidence including frightening, disgraceful, threatening, soulless, and child abuse videos, along with emergency room visit records proving how my children have both been hospitalized due to severe neglect and abuse by their father ( friend of our court and police) and my infant suffers the obvious from being 400 miles away from me, his birth mother? And what if all I have asked so far was perhaps, only a tiny fraction of the misconduct and abuse that continues daily- and I now face, clearly- BOGUS- felony drug charges.

A: Based on the allegations, it would be in the best interest of the child(ren) that you request the Court to appoint a Guardians ad Litem (GAL) to advocate for the minor child(ren). The Guardians ad Litem will have the ability to review all the evidence and prepare a report and send to the Judge based on their findings. The Guardians ad Litem can be costly, but the Court can split the fees between both parties to balance fairness. Without having the GAL the Court will likely exclude most of the evidence you described that you try to present.

A: Facing such a challenging situation requires taking concrete steps to protect yourself and your children. First, document everything thoroughly. Keep all records, evidence, communications, and incidents meticulously organized, including the videos, hospital records, and other proof. You may also want to consider filing complaints with higher courts, state agencies, or even federal authorities if you believe local courts are not responding fairly.

Next, find support from advocates outside of your current area who are experienced in child protection and legal advocacy. You could also seek help from national organizations that focus on child welfare or civil rights. Connecting with the right people who understand the law and your rights can strengthen your position and increase your chances of a fair hearing.

Lastly, avoid engaging with or confronting those involved in misconduct directly. Focus on protecting your well-being and staying resilient for the sake of your children. Seek legal protection if you feel threatened or unsafe, and make sure any threats or mistreatment are reported to a higher authority.
