Q: Hi my name is Roxy. I am looking for a contingency lawyer that can help me with my possible case.
I’ve Loss the sense of Smell (Anosmia): The procedure caused it. which I’m hoping it wont be permanent. This has drastically affected my quality of life. There was no provision of post-operative care such as temporary dentures or bone grafts. This has raised concerns about potential bone loss, facial changes, and further dental complications. I had two ct scan of my sinus area and the progression is not good that it needed to be corrected. Given my pre-existing condition (Mixed Connective Tissue Disease), a prophylactic antibiotic was warranted but not provided. This oversight has likely contributed to the severity of my complications The dentist saw me that I was in excruciating pain and while He was working with my molar instead of telling me that it’s rotten and infected and to stop and follow up with him. He loaded me more with anaesthesia and rushed to pulled out all my upper teeth i was in terribly pain
A: Use the Justia FInd a Lawyer tab and search for medical malpractice or dental malpractice lawyers in the county/area you reside. Call a few, meet with them, and then decide how to proceed from there. Most will provide a free initial consult or telephone consult. Good luck.

A: I'm sorry for your ordeal. As my colleagues mention, you could look into arranging a consult with med mal law firm, focusing on those with experience in dentistry and oral surgery-related cases. The field narrows there. Free initial consults are customary, and the firms which handle such cases generally work on a contingency basis. I hope you experience a healthy recovery. Good luck
A: Hi, Roxy. I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Given your lost sense of smell, untreated infection risks, and lack of follow-up care, there may be grounds for a medical malpractice claim. In California, MICRA (Medical Injury Compensation Reform Act) limits non-economic damages, like pain and suffering, to $350,000 for injuries after January 1, 2024. Acting quickly is important, as California's statute of limitations for malpractice claims is typically one year from when you discovered the injury. A contingency-based attorney can help assess your case and guide you through next steps
A:
I'm really sorry to hear about what you're going through. Losing your sense of smell and dealing with the complications from your dental procedure must be incredibly challenging.
You should reach out to a lawyer who handles personal injury and medical malpractice cases on a contingency basis. They can review the details of your situation and determine the best way to proceed. It's important to act promptly, as there are time limits for filing such claims.
Gather all your medical records, including the CT scans and any documentation related to your pre-existing condition and the procedure. This information will help your lawyer build a strong case to seek the compensation you need to address your health issues and improve your quality of life.
