Q: How to sue a cop who is now fired and being investigated for felony charges after he assaulted me and lied on the report
I was asked by a village cop if my name was Amber North. I said no that's not my name he then grabbed me by the arm and flung me into the hood of his cop car so hard I flew out of my shoes. ( I have the video) he tried to press assault charges on me by lying on his police report and saying that I kicked him in the chest several times. A sheriff showed up to the scene and took me out of the cop car in cuffed me and said I was good to go to go let the life squad check me out. As I'm in the way to the hospital I noticed the village cop followed me there. The nurse wanted my info to check me in I told her I didn't feel comfortable giving it to her with that cop standing there with his body cam on. He wouldn't leave. After I got checked in he came in my room and cuffed me to the bed. Later took me to jail. Never told me why I was being arrested. Never read me my rights. That cop is now fired and is being indited on something. Idk what yet for. My assault on him was dismissed. How can I sue?
