Dublin, OH asked in Family Law and Small Claims for Ohio

Q: I signed a document under duress do I have legal action to reverse and Sue?

A family member coerced and threatened me to sign the deed of a a house over to them that was left to me by my deceased father. I had just come home from doing some State time and the family member knew I had nothing. A paroled to their house which is not the house in question I had to have an address being on parole. The family member in questions daughter was living in the house that was left to me and that was the motive behind her wanting the house so her daughter would not come back to her home. The family member let back taxes add up for a couple years and new that I was unable to pay those this was all planned in advance. I declined it first but they kicked me out of the house making me homeless I had no other choice but to sign it over and as soon as I did I was allowed to go back to her house. I had seen that the statute of limitations is 6 years for a signed contract. The house has since been sold and I'm hoping I can sue for the value of the house that was rightfully mine
