Q: We signed a contract with this company EasyKnock 10 months ago to sell the house. They've done no work on their part.
We are located in Florida. We made this stupid move because our house had gained around $140K in equity and wanted to cash out and move up better. We agreed to their plan where we live here and pay them $2K rent while they do the work and help sell the house for a year. They have failed to to do any necessary repairs as agreed upon. They'll send a contractor out every couple months to get new estimates on the same things and fail to act, over and over again. The most major repair is needing a new garage door. They claimed a couple electrical issues which have been ruled out by all electrical contractors brought in. The tile in the master bath needs re-done and of course new carpet. We now have 2 months left, house prices are starting to decline, we have no money to move, and we feel hopeless and feel scammed. Do we have any legal recourse?
