Asked in Employment Law and Workers' Compensation for Georgia

Q: I was freelancing for a US based company, They won't pay me after months, They do agreements and never realize them.

I worked for this Immigration company since 2022, They would pay me 50$ to translate each case they had, They would pay me monthly 1000$. In 2023 the owner started going on fancy vacations, acquiring expensive drones as a hobbie and most of the employees quitted out of not being payed. To secure myself I told him to pay me before delivering each case, which he at first comply.. but then let the account grow and when I ask him, he would say "Tell me the next week" on and on. He owes me around 2400$. (around 60 cases).

Is there a way i can retaliate against him?

Also, I knew from on-site employees that he fabricated false-statements which were attached to political asylum cases before ICE (which i was told is highly illegal), and also he has an open investigation for human trafficking.

I am an overseas translations freelancer. (Colombia)
