Q: If I got a storage unit on July 11th and it said on the agreement that each month on the 11th I am to pay rent. But the
Storage unit place would charge me on the 9th saying that was the due day. And then only 2 days after the 9th so the 11th they would put a late fee but it clearly states in the contract that I have a 5 day grace period to not be fined. Also are they allowed to continuously up the rent with our notice or the late fees at any time? Are the storage unit operators allowed to discuss with former employees about the sale of a unit? Lastly if I was the primary person on the unit it's the operator allowed to change my email into someone else's email same with phone number? If I was never getting the certified mail, how can they still sell my unit. The address was put in wrong by the operator and thus me never getting any mail. I'm fact there is no address so the mail would be sent back. One more thing, is the operator allowed to go through the unit before the auction.
