Q: Does my company need to get a certificate of authority to conduct business in NH if we're not a foreign corporation?
We are a NJ based company preparing a bid to work with the New Hampshire state higher education system. One of the requirements is to be registered with the state of New Hampshire. When I refer to the instructions for getting the registration certificate, it states that it is a requirement for foreign businesses. I'm not sure if it means foreign to the US or any company outside of NH. Just want to make sure we know if that is needed or not.
