Lexington, SC asked in Consumer Law and Identity Theft for South Carolina

Q: A card was linked to my cash app card unauthorized. 16,566 was stolen. Cashapp keeps denying 5he claim. What can I do?

My home burned down and i got an insurance check deposited to my cashapp account. 2 days later 16,566.71 was transferred to a card i didn't authorize to be linked to my card. I have disputed the unauthorized card and transfer 5 times and cashapp keeps denying my claim. I have done everything they have told me to do. On Dec 3rd I got an email saying the unauthorized card was unlinked from my account, even though my card was locked. I contacted customer support immediately and they could not explain how the card was unlinked. While on the phone with them I got an email that said my disputed was denied again. I have a police report, which was submitted to them. I just need to know what can I do legally to get my money back. My family and I are homeless due to the fire and now losing our money.
