A: A North Carolina attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. I'm sorry for your ordeal. Two of your options include (1) reviewing the policy, discussing the denial with the disability carrier, and discussing whether your providing medical evidence from your treating physicians/surgeons could help them reconsider their denial based on pre-existing condition. This could result in reversing their denial. Or it could accomplish nothing and eat up valuable time and result in further delays. Another option is (2) consult with an attorney to review the policy and determine your options - litigation, arbitration, or other. There could be other options as well; these are only two. I hope you succeed in restoring your benefits. Good luck
