Q: Paid speeding ticket, but received court summons. Do I need to attend?
I received a speeding ticket for going 10 mph or less over the limit, which I have already paid. Initially, I requested to attend a driving class to reduce the points on my record, but I was informed that the class is only available for violations with three or more points. Despite paying the ticket, I have received a summary court summons indicating a continuation. Why am I being summoned to court, and do I need to attend even though I have paid the ticket?
