Q: can H1b Visa hoder buy stores like Gas station and hire some one else to run the store ?

I am on H1b Visa, working in IT industry, and i want to buy stores like gas station or small franchises , and i want to hire some one else to run that store, i dont want to work in that store..is this legal in USA?
