Your best bet would be to contact an attorney experienced in medical malpractice to discuss your case. Like any relationship, the one between a doctor and their patient may be terminated by either party. The issue in your case is whether there is a continuing duty on the part of the physician to... You can likely do a general statutory search online; however, in response to your main question, generally, it is unlawful for a person to be in possession or to be using prescription medication not prescribed to them.

Q: Can I sue a hospital?

I went to the emergency room in Clarksdale Thursday night for vomiting, etc. I went to emergency room in Oxford Friday night for the same thing and they diagnosed me with colitis and said it was very visible and don't see how Clarksdale missed it.

Not in this case. Not all misdiagnoses are malpractice. More importantly, the couple of days delay didn't create a harm that wasn't there--and so no case (you don't get to sue for what could have happened).;
